Recipe- Yogi Tea

It might be cold and grey outside but that doesn't mean we should feel that way inside. I thought i'd kick start this blog off with a traditional Yogi Tea recipe....

Yogi Tea is a delightful warming drink that promotes optimal health. It aids digestion, strengthens the nervous system and provides you with an energy boost. It can also support joint health, gut health and even mental health. Yogi tea is also a great preventative measure for colds, flu and allergies.

Make a big batch and share with others!

Makes approximately 4 cups

YOU'LL NEED:

A large pan

A strainer

7 whole cloves

10 black peppercorns

2 cinnamon sticks

10 cardamon pods (split pods first)

4 slices of ginger

1 small tea bag

1 litre of water.

Milk and honey to taste.

DIRECTIONS:

Place all the ingredients in the water in a large pan.

Boil for 30 minutes.

Remove from heat and carefully pour through a strainer.

Discard all but the tea.

Enjoy!

* Note a caffeine free alternative, just leave out the tea bag.
